Saferworld is an independent international organisation working to prevent violent conflict and build safer lives. We work with local people affected by conflict to improve their safety and sense of security.
This role will support the Myanmar staff and partners to manage projects and strengthen the quality of programming in community security, justice and conflict sensitivity. There is a strong focus on promoting the development of civil society actors to engage in these sectors in order to improve the situation for vulnerable communities in conflict-affected areas. The role will ensure that our policy recommendations related to conflict, security, aid, business and governance are grounded in evidence and experiences from conflict-affected contexts as well as being responsive to people’s needs and perspectives.
This position is an exciting opportunity to play a role in Saferworld’s country office and a multi-faceted programme. As the programme portfolio develops, the post-holder will contribute learning generated by all of our projects into Saferworld’s evolving strategy in Myanmar and the organisation as a whole.
